Register for this year’s $10,000 Hole in One Golf Benefit sponsored by Gene Mills on Saturday, August 19. This Captain and Crew tournament, held at the Rose Creek Golf Club in Central Square, will raise money for the Phoenix Central Schools wrestling team.
An entry fee and donation of $75 per person gets you 18 holes of golf, a cart, beverages on the course, prizes, a commemorative Phoenix golf benefit gift, chicken barbecue and a chance to hit a $10,000 hole in one from 170 yards. Registration for the event can be found here.
Please arrive at 8:15 a.m. for hole assignments and pairings. The shotgun start will kick off at 9:00 a.m.
Prizes include first and second place team awards, longest drive for men and women, closet to the pin, closest to pin on second shot and other door prizes.
The field will be limited to the first 80 golfers that register, so RSVP with payment as soon as possible to assure your place in the tournament. Checks can be made payable to CNY Pin2Win, Inc. Please send payment to Gene Mills at 4024 Pinyon Pine Path, Liverpool, NY 13090-1114 prior to August 5.

“Mean” Gene Mills was Syracuse University’s first four time All-American. He was a two time NCAA Champion who wrestled in places such as France, Russia, Japan, Cuba and Hungary where he won Outstanding Wrestler Awards in all five countries. In 1980 he was a US Olympian and voted the “Athlete of the Year” by the US Olympic Committee. Mills finished his prestigious career with a record of 1,356-46-1.
